Gadgets: Attorney Career Change - Courtesy of Nintendo
Attorneys can now provide their kids with a taste of what it's like to practice law with a new game from Nintendo - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Players assume the role of a rookie defense lawyer fighting to prove his clients' innocence. Among other things, you can flip through the testimony of the prosecution's witnesses, and expose their lies and omissions through cross-examination.

Gadgets: The Digital Hotspotter
For the road warriors among us who always find themselves in airports and hotels seeking out a wireless connection to the Internet, the Digital Hotspotter is a "cool" tool to consider.
The Digital Hotspotter™ is a full-featured, second-generation Wi-Fi detection and analysis device, that like other "first generation" analog Wi-Fi detectors, detects signal availability and strength. However, it is the only device of its kind to provide additional essential information about wireless networks, including network ID (SSID) and encryption status.

Gadgets: Personal Doctor
We're rolling out a new category on our blog - Gadgets - which will feature new electronics - cellphones, laptops, PDA's, etc. - that we believe lawyers may find useful to bring a little sanity to their stressful lives.
The first - an interesting device for the health-conscious - is from the Japanese makers of the well-known Citizen watch brand - the new CH-425P Personal Doctor, which will keep an eye on your health with daily checkups by way of taking your blood pressure, weight, and body fat percentage, and computing those metrics against one another in software (via USB hookup to your computer).
Courtesy of the Engadget blog. Unfortunately, the blog doesn't say where you can buy this new gadget and it appears that it is not yet for sale in the United States (here's a link to Citizen's press release in Japanese announcing the new product - but if you search for "CH-425P" in Google, you'll get the same page in the search results and can then use Google to translate the press release from Japanese into English - cool, no?).
Anyone who locates a retail source for this product, please let us know.
Anyone who knows of an interesting gadget that may be useful for lawyers, please contact us using our Contact Form. Thanks in advance.
