The firm's website features a "Quality of Life" section detailing the firm's policies and initiatives regarding such items as flexible work schedules, parental leave, and emergency child care (including back up nanny care). It goes without saying that such a public display of sensitivity to the personal needs of individual attorneys is a rarity among law firm websites.
At JD Bliss, we applaud all efforts to help attorneys balance their work and personal lives, and reduce the stress that often accompanies frantic efforts to juggle a demanding work load with pressing personal matters. Lawyering, while often lucrative, can be a tough and tedious way to make a living, and firms that acknowledge and seek to alleviate the struggles their lawyers often face should be commended.
